Jakob Humpich scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jürn Osthoff, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Westerhofen! Karl Ertl struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jürn Osthoff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westerhofen. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusebio Belusa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jürn Osthoff made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Richard Krimm sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute Leo Gass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Kratz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
