Frank Belusa started the match with the kick off. Arminia Bielefeld's Klaus Sombrutzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimund Schmitt in the 3rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Levan Dirks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Klaus Sombrutzki was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Marco Parpart hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Samir Wilhelm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julian Falk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Julian Falk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Belusa, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Samir Wilhelm came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Arminia Bielefeld fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samir Wilhelm couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Arminia Bielefeld's zone, Levan Dirks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klaus Sombrutzki came out of the goal and Levan Dirks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Levan Dirks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Sombrutzki having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Arminia Bielefeld's goal looked a bit too open when Levan Dirks came free, but Klaus Sombrutzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Samir Wilhelm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Belusa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sommertshausen FSV booed when Arminia Bielefeld was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hank Linn didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Levan Dirks was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Levan Dirks got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Arminia Bielefeld's Klaus Sombrutzki got control of the ball when Jimmy Kasparick tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Frank Belusa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arminia Bielefeld's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Belusa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Falk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sommertshausen FSV's zone, Samir Wilhelm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Falk came out of the goal and Samir Wilhelm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Sommertshausen FSV defense, Frank Belusa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julian Falk. The Sommertshausen FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julian Falk should have stopped the shot. Levan Dirks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Sombrutzki having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Belusa in the 82nd minute of play forced Sommertshausen FSV's goalkeeper Julian Falk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the game, Arminia Bielefeld's Franz Zimmermann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julian Falk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to Sommertshausen FSV getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Marco Geisberger hit a great ball. Levan Dirks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Klaus Sombrutzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Geisberger kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Arminia Bielefeld were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sommertshausen FSV for a fine match.
