In the 4th minute, Kai Aßmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Kratz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Karl Ertl sped through Bursaspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Peter Rohde. If Karl Ertl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jakob Humpich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Peter Rohde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Rohde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Ertl, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Westerhofen's goalkeeper Jan Kratz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kai Aßmann. Peter Rohde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Ertl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Rohde came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Westerhofen's Karl Ertl. But to his dismay, Karl Ertl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Bursaspor's zone, Richard Krimm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Rohde came out of the goal and Richard Krimm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute, Bastien Zagermann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl Ertl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl Ertl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Rohde having to interfere. Jakob Humpich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Peter Rohde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Bursaspor getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Anthony Faller hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karl Ertl made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Westerhofen got a freekick which was hit by Adam Wilhelm. After a rather tough play, Westerhofen's Richard Krimm got a free kick in the 60th minute. Wilhelm Schepoll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Peter Rohde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Karl Ertl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Rohde was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Edbert Menge charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edbert Menge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edbert Menge kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Jakob Humpichs short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Peter Rohde to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bursaspor's Peter Rohde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Bursaspor from getting a goal against them. Anthony Faller charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anthony Faller the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Westerhofen booed when Bursaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Faller didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Westerhofen defense, Kai Aßmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Kratz. The Westerhofen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Kratz should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Jakob Humpich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westerhofen's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakob Humpich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Rohde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 85 played minutes Bursaspor got a freekick which was hit by Delron Jäkel. 89 minutes into the game, Karl Ertl recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Peter Rohde. Karl Ertl showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. 94 minutes into the match, Bursaspor's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Schepoll came free, but Peter Rohde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Westerhofen's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
