ESV Fortuna Celle
Spectators: 7322 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 100) Kamil Zettel struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Julian Falk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ESV Fortuna Celle. 5 minutes into the match, Sommertshausen FSV's Marco Parpart sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steffen Redda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Balduin Püst hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Sommertshausen FSV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Eberhard Pick in the 8th minute. The corner ended in Eberhard Pick almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ESV Fortuna Celle's Steffen Redda did a great save. In the 9th match minute, ESV Fortuna Celle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieter Schnitzler to maneuver through the defense. Steffen Redda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Kasparick in the 11th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Raimund Schmitt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Balduin Püst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Julian Falk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Balduin Püst had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Knut Strunck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kamil Zettel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Falk having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Levan Dirks made a precise shot to the right of Steffen Redda. ESV Fortuna Celle's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Stephan Ellermann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42ndth minute of the game Levan Dirks who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ESV Fortuna Celle's Steffen Redda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sommertshausen FSV's Eberhard Pick got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Sommertshausen FSV were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dieter Schnitzler to make the kick off. Dieter Schnitzler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Stephan Ellermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julian Falk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kamil Zettel in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute of the match ESV Fortuna Celle got a corner. Sommertshausen FSV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stephan Ellermann ran over to the corner to take the kick. Stephan Ellermann made a great header on ESV Fortuna Celle's corner, it was just that Sommertshausen FSV's Julian Falk managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 64th minute, Jimmy Kasparick reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Steffen Redda. The goal made the score 0-2. Steffen Redda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Kasparick in the 67th minute of play. Holger Wissel's late challenge caught a Sommertshausen FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Holger Wissel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sommertshausen FSV booed when ESV Fortuna Celle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Wissel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Falk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephan Ellermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The supporters of Sommertshausen FSV booed when ESV Fortuna Celle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pinkus Jungbauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the game, one of ESV Fortuna Celle:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 96th minute, Stephan Ellermann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julian Falk was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see ESV Fortuna Celle lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
