Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) AAlen's Werner Krey started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christian Beckmeyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferit Petzolt having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Ludger Hasselbach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ludger Hasselbach might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferit Petzolt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ludger Hasselbach ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, AAlen's Werner Krey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferit Petzolt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. AAlen's Philipp Scheller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eckehard Dupke in the 20th minute of play. Christoph Dähne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Beckmeyer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferit Petzolt having to make a save. If Werner Krey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ferit Petzolt was a little too slow when Werner Krey got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ormont's zone, Werner Krey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferit Petzolt came out of the goal and Werner Krey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 39th minute, Christoph Dähne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, FC Ormont's goal looked a bit too open when Werner Krey came free, but Ferit Petzolt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 played minutes FC Ormont got a freekick which was hit by Christoph Dähne. Werner Krey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferit Petzolt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Rainer Hollinghausen made the kick off in the second half. When Werner Krey came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the AAlen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Werner Krey couldn't finish the play. Ferit Petzolt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Werner Krey's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ludger Hasselbach managed to get in a good position for a shot. AAlen's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludger Hasselbach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferit Petzolt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61stth minute of the game Christian Beckmeyer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ormont's Ferit Petzolt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Werner Krey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferit Petzolt having to interfere. Hubertus Paziorek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Philipp Scheller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferit Petzolt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Beckmeyer's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Ormont's Eckehard Dupke got a free kick in the 79th minute. Ludger Hasselbach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 84 minutes into the game, Ludger Hasselbach cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ferit Petzolt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ludger Hasselbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ferit Petzolt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eckehard Dupke didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 3-1 via right post in the game's 90th minute. FC Ormont's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Christoph Günther struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ferit Petzolt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AAlen. AAlen's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
