Sommertshausen FSV's Julian Falk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Brendlin in the 5th minute of play. Jimmy Kasparick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Pinkler FC's goal looked a bit too open when Levan Dirks came free, but Hubert Lamprecht reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pinkler FC's goalkeeper Hubert Lamprecht, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Geisberger charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Julian Falk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Hilkes in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Pinkler FC booed when Sommertshausen FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Parpart didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Rodolfo Kerschbaumer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Jimmy Kasparick managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sommertshausen FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimmy Kasparick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Levan Dirks in the 97th minute of play forced Pinkler FC's goalkeeper Hubert Lamprecht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pinkler FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sommertshausen FSV had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
