Obersgegen's Erasmus Strauch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven Lorei in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmed Gross during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Paris Saint Germain getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ahmed Gross hit a great ball. Roger Oppenheim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Joseph Strauss made a huge save. After having played for 11 minutes, Gerrit Reichel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Obersgegen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerrit Reichel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven Lorei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmus Strauch having to interfere. When Obersgegen's Philipp Fröhlich in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paris Saint Germain's goalie prevented a goal. Toralf Schwarz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Strauss having to interfere. The supporters of Obersgegen booed when Paris Saint Germain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josip Barow didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Roger Oppenheim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joseph Strauss showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sven Lorei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toralf Schwarz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Joseph Strauss when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Toralf Schwarz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Joseph Strauss skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Philipp Fröhlich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Strauss having to interfere. Toralf Schwarz made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 37thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Joseph Strauss would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Paul Oswald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmus Strauch having to interfere. When Marcus Zapf fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paris Saint Germain's protests and gave Marcus Zapf a yellow card for diving instead. Roger Oppenheim placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Philipp Fröhlich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Paris Saint Germain's goal looked a bit too open when Philipp Fröhlich came free, but Joseph Strauss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philipp Fröhlich in the 70th minute of play forced Paris Saint Germain's goalkeeper Joseph Strauss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joseph Strauss came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Obersgegen's Toralf Schwarz. But to his dismay, Toralf Schwarz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Gerrit Reichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Toralf Schwarz came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Obersgegen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toralf Schwarz couldn't finish the play. Toralf Schwarz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Strauss having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Sven Lorei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paul Oswald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Erasmus Strauch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paris Saint Germain's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
