But to his dismay, Rudolf Wulf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 7th minute, Jesko Menzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hüseyin-Kenan Hübener made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lothar Hach in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to VFB Altena getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jesko Menzel hit a great ball. Berko Schaub recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sportfreunde King booed when VFB Altena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesko Menzel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hüseyin-Kenan Hübener stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lothar Hach's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Rudolf Wulf might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Laurence Sattler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rudolf Wulf ran back to his position shaking his head. Hüseyin-Kenan Hübener made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berko Schaub in the 31st minute. Slaven Metzner hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Tim Ambrosius kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Laurence Sattler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Kasig in the 36th minute of the match. Sportfreunde King's Laurence Sattler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Wulf in the 43rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rudolf Wulf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Laurence Sattler was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. 46 minutes into the game, VFB Altena's Rudolf Wulf nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laurence Sattler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rudolf Wulf to strike the kick off in the second half. Laurence Sattler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Wulf, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Rudolf Wulf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VFB Altena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudolf Wulf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by August Moll during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sportfreunde King getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. August Moll hit a great ball. Laurence Sattler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Wulf, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lothar Hach in the 70th minute of play forced VFB Altena's goalkeeper Hüseyin-Kenan Hübener to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rdth minute of the game Lothar Hach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VFB Altena's Hüseyin-Kenan Hübener was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudolf Wulf in the 75th minute of play forced Sportfreunde King's goalkeeper Laurence Sattler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched VFB Altena eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
