In the 19thth minute of the game Anders Kamp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Dortmund's Tim Kreissler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute, Olaf Landgraf made a precise shot to the right of Tim Kreissler. Borussia Dortmund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Toni Berlingen got a free kick in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Anders Kamp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tim Kreissler. Borussia Dortmund's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anders Kamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When Clint Knipprath fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borussia Dortmund's protests and gave Clint Knipprath a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clint Knipprath to maneuver through the defense. In the 79thth minute of the game Olaf Landgraf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borussia Dortmund's Tim Kreissler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
