After 28 played minutes Westhoven FC got a freekick which was hit by Sébastien Odenbach. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gil Remus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westhoven FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Remus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jordan Matthies breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gregor Mitsch fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Westhoven FC's protests and gave Gregor Mitsch a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Adana Demirspor booed when Westhoven FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregor Mitsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Werner Zwerger in the 40th minute of play forced Westhoven FC's goalkeeper Mattis Schlode to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Rössler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattis Schlode having to interfere. Westhoven FC's Mattis Schlode played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Werner Zwerger in the 43rd minute of play. Jordan Matthies showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Keirath, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Viktor Keirath made the kick off in the second half. Jordan Matthies stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viktor Keirath's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerold Stieglitz's late challenge caught a Adana Demirspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerold Stieglitz helped the player get up and apologised. Mattis Schlode acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Miroslav Seeger. Mattis Schlode showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Werner Zwerger in the 79th minute of the match.
