In the 5th match minute, Ghostdevil Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Halke to maneuver through the defense. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ghostdevil Fc! The referee gave Limperich a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Enno Bradel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ghostdevil Fc's Norbert Rössle. 0-1. Monty Börnsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Andi Heiske got free in front of the goal in the 18th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Norbert Rössle was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lennert Löbe took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norbert Rössle. Norbert Rössle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ghostdevil Fc's Norbert Rössle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Börnsen in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Philip Giehl in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sepp Holthausen saved Limperich from getting behind. When Steve Benscheider fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ghostdevil Fc's protests and gave Steve Benscheider a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 minutes, Philip Giehl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ghostdevil Fc and the Limperich players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Philip Giehl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42ndth minute of the game Monty Börnsen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ghostdevil Fc's Norbert Rössle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Monty Börnsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norbert Rössle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Philip Giehl made a kick off. Philip Giehl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sepp Holthausen having to interfere. Philip Giehl took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sepp Holthausen. Sepp Holthausen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 66th minute of the match, Klaus Aist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Norbert Rössle saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpected shot in the 68th minute by Andi Heiske got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Norbert Rössle was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Andi Heiske capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andi Heiske really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. When Monty Börnsen came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Limperich fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Monty Börnsen couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Limperich's Ben Kremmers got a free kick in the 77th minute. Andi Heiske's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Norbert Rössle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Ghostdevil Fc's Norbert Rössle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andi Heiske in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Kuno Lammert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
