In the 7th minute Jens Ohmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kemal Plesetz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bennigsen's goalkeeper Kemal Plesetz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kemal Plesetz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Ohmer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ralf Grupe came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Göschitz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralf Grupe couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Jens Ohmer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kemal Plesetz was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Burkhard Kübler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kemal Plesetz was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Jens Ohmer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jens Ohmer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 27 played minutes Bennigsen got a freekick which was hit by Rico Mehling. It was beautiful to see Bennigsen's Burkhard Kübler in action when he in the 37th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Kemal Plesetz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens Ohmer in the 43rd minute of play. Mike Pütz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Kemal Plesetz when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jens Ohmer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Frank Schabel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The tension between the Göschitz FC and the Bennigsen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Burkhard Kübler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Meyer having to interfere.
