In the 28thth minute of the game Dittmar Wunder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hoykenkamp's Bernhard Kauch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dittmar Wunder in the 29th minute of play forced Hoykenkamp's goalkeeper Bernhard Kauch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thorsten Mühlhäuser took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernhard Kauch. Hoykenkamp's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dittmar Wunder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernhard Kauch having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Ibach's Dittmar Wunder sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernhard Kauch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donny Tilly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Gunther Meiswinkel made a huge save. In the 38th minute, Benno Hasse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dittmar Wunder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Bernhard Kauch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dittmar Wunder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernhard Kauch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damian Rübin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Donny Tilly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunther Meiswinkel having to interfere. A hard shot 59 in the game by Matthias Kurbjuweit from a close distance when the talented Bernhard Kauch managed to make a qualified save. Hoykenkamp's players were relieved. After 65 played minutes Ibach got a freekick which was hit by Klaus Nießen. In the 66th minute, Damian Rübin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dittmar Wunder in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernhard Kauch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hoykenkamp's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dittmar Wunder 69 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Matthias Kurbjuweit in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bernhard Kauch, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Hoykenkamp getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dieter Henze hit a great ball. Dittmar Wunder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Dittmar Wunder came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ibach fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dittmar Wunder couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Hoykenkamp's Bernhard Kauch got control of the ball when Matthias Kurbjuweit tried to sneak it across the goal line. Philo Benischke's late challenge caught a Hoykenkamp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philo Benischke helped the player get up and apologised.
