Elmar Küpper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ewald Pfeffermann in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Ewald Pfeffermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmar Küpper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ennigerloh FC's Gert Wanderwitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Ennigerloh FC from getting a goal against them. Elmar Küpper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hanns Brandstrup in the 14th minute of play. When Michele Hamacher fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Union Giesenhausen's protests and gave Michele Hamacher a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Union Giesenhausen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michele Hamacher to maneuver through the defense. Elmar Küpper came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Ennigerloh FC's Hanns Brandstrup. But to his dismay, Hanns Brandstrup quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Carl Koop fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ennigerloh FC's protests and gave Carl Koop a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Carl Koop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niklaus Malborn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Wanderwitz having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Gert Wanderwitz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sebastian Klomfaß kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Elmar Küpper didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ewald Pfeffermann went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute, Ingmar Burgwart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elmar Küpper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ewald Pfeffermann's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Hanns Brandstrup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ewald Pfeffermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmar Küpper having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ewald Pfeffermann was the one to do the kick off. Ewald Pfeffermann was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Ennigerloh FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ennigerloh FC's Ingmar Burgwart couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Union Giesenhausen. Elmar Küpper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ewald Pfeffermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Hanns Brandstrup sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Ewald Pfeffermann fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 73rd play minute Hanns Brandstrup came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elmar Küpper. 0-4. When Ingmar Burgwart fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ennigerloh FC's protests and gave Ingmar Burgwart a yellow card for diving instead. Ingmar Burgwart hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Hanns Brandstrups short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Elmar Küpper to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kim Auer hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Elmar Küpper made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Hanns Brandstrup sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Ennigerloh FC booed when Union Giesenhausen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Klomfaß didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hanns Brandstrup came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ennigerloh FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hanns Brandstrup couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hartwig Schüttler in the 93rd minute of play forced Ennigerloh FC's goalkeeper Gert Wanderwitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Union Giesenhausen's goal looked a bit too open when Ewald Pfeffermann came free, but Elmar Küpper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
