They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Paris Saint-Germain booed when Erzgebirge Aue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joscha Stüwe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raimund Ebel charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raimund Ebel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lukas Eckert had in the 100thth minute some difficulties stopping Ludger Dettinger's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Erzgebirge Aue players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Paris Saint-Germain.
