Achim Wiechmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Philipp Landgraf made a huge save. The SC Einheit Burg fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when SC Einheit Burg's Ubbo Herbers looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Ubbo Herbers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubbo Herbers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Ubbo Herbers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niko Schieber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ramon Palupski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon Palupski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niko Schieber in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niko Schieber to make the kick off.
