A collision led to FSV Sachsenkicker getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ioannis Oettinger hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, SuS Gurke's goal looked a bit too open when Ioannis Oettinger came free, but Andrew Kuppermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, SuS Gurke's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Buckmüller came free, but Andrew Kuppermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, FSV Sachsenkicker's goal looked a bit too open when Samson Kupke came free, but Marco Block reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Leif-Eric Hübner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Kuppermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Block made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Silvio Vuchelich sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, FSV Sachsenkicker's goalkeeper Marco Block had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samson Kupke. Samson Kupke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Marco Block made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvio Vuchelich got free with Marco Block in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute Leif-Eric Hübner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Kuppermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FSV Sachsenkicker booed when SuS Gurke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Lutze didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ioannis Oettinger in the 35th minute of play forced SuS Gurke's goalkeeper Andrew Kuppermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrew Kuppermann came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by FSV Sachsenkicker's Ioannis Oettinger. But to his dismay, Ioannis Oettinger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hakan Schwarzer scored 0-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrew Kuppermann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakan Schwarzer in the 44th minute of play forced SuS Gurke's goalkeeper Andrew Kuppermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute, Leif-Eric Hübner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FSV Sachsenkicker fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leif-Eric Hübner to make the kick off. When Ivo Hofstedde fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SuS Gurke's protests and gave Ivo Hofstedde a yellow card for diving instead. Marco Block showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samson Kupke in the 59th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvio Vuchelich in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Block prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Charlie Schultheiss fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FSV Sachsenkicker's protests and gave Charlie Schultheiss a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FSV Sachsenkicker's Charlie Schultheiss got a free kick in the 60th minute. Andrew Kuppermann was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Richard Buckmüller showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 62 minute of play. Richard Buckmüller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Andrew Kuppermann made a huge save. Leif-Eric Hübner received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andrew Kuppermann came out and tried to block the shot, but Leif-Eric Hübner slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 67th minute. Andrew Kuppermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif-Eric Hübner in the 71st minute of play. Marco Block came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by SuS Gurke's Samson Kupke. But to his dismay, Samson Kupke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. In the 78th match minute, SuS Gurke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Hofstedde to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SuS Gurke's zone, Richard Buckmüller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrew Kuppermann came out of the goal and Richard Buckmüller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, SuS Gurke's Andrew Kuppermann got control of the ball when Hakan Schwarzer tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, SuS Gurke's goalkeeper Andrew Kuppermann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Buckmüller. In the 91st minute Gernot Mantovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Block saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute of the match, Leif-Eric Hübner tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Andrew Kuppermann saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Richard Buckmüller's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Andrew Kuppermann firmly grabbed it by the left post. Andrew Kuppermann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif-Eric Hübner in the 98th minute of the match.
