Thiago Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeus Wieczorek in the 6th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Odra Wodzisław Slaski's Carsten Balzer got a free kick in the 9th minute. When Carsten Balzer fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Odra Wodzisław Slaski's protests and gave Carsten Balzer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, Odra Wodzisław Slaski was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carsten Balzer to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Harald Czylwick made a precise shot to the right of Alvar Seubert. SV Jena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The referee showed Deon Kruck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes SV Jena got a freekick which was hit by Deon Kruck. When Odra Wodzisław Slaski's Harald Czylwick in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Wim Haug took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pernambucano. Thiago Pernambucano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. If Harald Czylwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Odra Wodzisław Slaski getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Jobst Heinrici hit a great ball. SV Jena's Damir Janssen shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 92nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Thiago Pernambucano but with some difficulty. Erik Münch's late challenge caught a SV Jena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erik Münch helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Erik Münch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SV Jena's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
