An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordian Arslan in the 11th minute of play forced Dietrichingen FC's goalkeeper Zoltan Häusling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Georg Wächter fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dietrichingen FC's protests and gave Georg Wächter a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Högenhausen booed when Dietrichingen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Wächter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zoltan Häusling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikolaus Stauder, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Dietrichingen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gordian Arslan came free, but Zoltan Häusling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 played minutes Högenhausen got a freekick which was hit by Kjeld Sondermann. After having played for 23 minutes, Nikolaus Stauder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Högenhausen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikolaus Stauder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute Kjeld Sondermann collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. 24 minutes into the game, Helmut Last was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dietrichingen FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Högenhausen the free kick. Zoltan Häusling came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Högenhausen's Gordian Arslan. But to his dismay, Gordian Arslan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Zoltan Häusling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikolaus Stauder, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Zoltan Häusling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolaus Stauder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zoltan Häusling came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Högenhausen's Nikolaus Stauder. But to his dismay, Nikolaus Stauder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Zoltan Häusling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benni Polenk in the 44th minute of play. Zoltan Häusling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nikolaus Stauder in the 46th minute of the match. Zoltan Häusling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arndt Spankowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Helmut Rögele to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Dietrichingen FC's zone, Benni Polenk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoltan Häusling came out of the goal and Benni Polenk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Benni Polenk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dietrichingen FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Nikolaus Stauder scored to the left of an out of position Zoltan Häusling, making the score, 0-3. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Mustafa Karp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Högenhausen's supporters rose to their feet, but Mustafa Karp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zoltan Häusling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benni Polenk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoltan Häusling having to interfere. Arndt Spankowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoltan Häusling having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Högenhausen's Gordian Arslan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zoltan Häusling. Zoltan Häusling yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. If Gordian Arslan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Högenhausen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dietrichingen FC throughout the match.
