The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arved Eschenbaum blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karl Ustorf having to make a save. Rando Dörnte kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Arved Eschenbaum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The SC Goodbye fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when SC Goodbye's Harald Ostmeyer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 24th minute, Elmo Dettinger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, G.A.L.A.T.A.S.A.R.A.Y's Manfred Freund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rudi Uebach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, SC Goodbye's Theo Lachmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl Ustorf made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Olav Freese fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Goodbye's protests and gave Olav Freese a yellow card for diving instead. Olav Freese hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. If Arved Eschenbaum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The G.A.L.A.T.A.S.A.R.A.Y players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Goodbye were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harald Ostmeyer made a kick off. When Rando Dörnte fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored G.A.L.A.T.A.S.A.R.A.Y's protests and gave Rando Dörnte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Rando Dörnte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, SC Goodbye's Olav Freese tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Arved Eschenbaum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Karl Ustorf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rando Dörnte hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, SC Goodbye's Olav Freese tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Manfred Freund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Harald Ostmeyer took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Karl Ustorf to make any attempt to save it. Harald Ostmeyer struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Karl Ustorf didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Goodbye. Arved Eschenbaum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Karl Ustorf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 played minutes G.A.L.A.T.A.S.A.R.A.Y got a freekick which was hit by Rando Dörnte. In the 97th match minute, SC Goodbye was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Lachmann to maneuver through the defense. The G.A.L.A.T.A.S.A.R.A.Y fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Goodbye were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
