When ЦСКА Lippstadt's Berthold Wesseler in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santa Cruz de Tenerife's goalie prevented a goal. In the 15th minute Berthold Wesseler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerold Rehmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berthold Wesseler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Gerold Rehmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Berthold Wesseler in the 19th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Berthold Wesseler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gerold Rehmann. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. After 28 minutes, Iso Trunschke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santa Cruz de Tenerife and the ЦСКА Lippstadt players grew even worse after the yellow card. ЦСКА Lippstadt's Berthold Wesseler got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gerold Rehmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berthold Wesseler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hermann Kania had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Volker Boxler to make the kick off. Hermann Kania received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gerold Rehmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerold Rehmann came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by ЦСКА Lippstadt's Berthold Wesseler. But to his dismay, Berthold Wesseler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 67 minutes into the game, one of Santa Cruz de Tenerife:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 75 played minutes Santa Cruz de Tenerife got a freekick which was hit by Jakov Droste. Gerold Rehmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berthold Wesseler in the 78th minute of the match. Gerold Rehmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berthold Wesseler in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute Berthold Wesseler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerold Rehmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santa Cruz de Tenerife's Gerold Rehmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berthold Wesseler in the 94th minute of play.
