The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Putzenberg FC's Jens Thomanek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harald Ellinghaus in the 63rd minute of play. Adolf Wollenschläger charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolf Wollenschläger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Putzenberg FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jens Thomanek yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Harald Ellinghaus received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jens Thomanek came out and tried to block the shot, but Harald Ellinghaus slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 88th minute. In the 93rd match minute, Große Pause was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertram Artmaier to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Große Pause eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
