Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) fc fenerbahce's Frederik Blassen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lobenstein's Ingo Middelberg got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingo Middelberg in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucian Goldblum prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armin Lanzerath during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th match minute, fc fenerbahce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armin Lanzerath to maneuver through the defense. Frederik Blassen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franz-Peter Käppele having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Scott Westermayer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederik Blassen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Frederik Blassen managed to get in a good position for a shot. fc fenerbahce's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederik Blassen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franz-Peter Käppele breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Knut Münstermann came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the fc fenerbahce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Knut Münstermann couldn't finish the play. Knut Münstermann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Olav Ginsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Samuel Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. fc fenerbahce's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Hoffmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franz-Peter Käppele breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lobenstein's Ingo Middelberg got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
