An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Brossart in the 10th minute of play forced FC Trani's goalkeeper Wilfried Goldberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Will Zehle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Alt in the 21st minute of the match. Wilhelm Noth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balthasar Witteler hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Will Zehle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Noth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Arthur Alt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Trani's Wilfried Goldberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gretel Bruhn in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilhelm Noth to strike the kick off in the second half. Leif Brossart struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Wilfried Goldberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SpVg Eicha. In the 53rd minute, SpVg Eicha's Gretel Bruhn dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Alt in the 58th minute of play forced SpVg Eicha's goalkeeper Will Zehle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilhelm Noth might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Will Zehle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 87th minute, Gretel Bruhn fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Wilfried Goldberg, passed just outside the right post. With 90 minutes on the clock, Balko Hoppen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 90 minutes into the game, one of FC Trani:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 92 minutes FC Trani's goalkeeper Wilfried Goldberg managed, with a little bit of luck, save Laurenz Vandenhirtz's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Leif Brossart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfried Goldberg having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SpVg Eicha walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
