Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Max Borgloh in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim Eisenblätter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lübecker Löwen's David Rapp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Kitzmann in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timo Hoppenstedt in the 16th minute of play forced Lübecker Löwen's goalkeeper David Rapp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freerk Muchalla hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. David Rapp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Kitzmann in the 23rd minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jannick Schünemann to make the kick off.
