Wilfried Goldberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilhelm Noth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricky Reiser having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Balko Hoppen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Wilhelm Noth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricky Reiser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, FC Trani's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Werner came free, but Wilfried Goldberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pär Erhart came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the FC Wilde Meute fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pär Erhart couldn't finish the play. Pär Erhart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pär Erhart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilhelm Noth to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Gernot Koppelin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, FC Trani's Arthur Alt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricky Reiser narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Arthur Alt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricky Reiser was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. FC Wilde Meute's Friedrich Blenke was responsible for 0-1 with a brilliant performance in the 65th minute when he, by himself, got past the opponents defense and with a quick shot sent the ball into the goal to the left of Wilfried Goldberg. Herwig Neubauer struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Wilfried Goldberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wilde Meute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Herwig Neubauer managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Wilde Meute's supporters rose to their feet, but Herwig Neubauer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfried Goldberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Trani's Wilfried Goldberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save FC Trani from getting a goal against them. Wilfried Goldberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Friedrich Blenke in the 84th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Friedrich Blenke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arthur Alt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
