The referee ignored SpVg Eicha's protests and gave Balthasar Witteler a yellow card for diving instead. Abdelaziz Moos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Will Zehle having to interfere.

In the 51st match minute, SpVg Eicha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc-Dominic Neu to maneuver through the defense. Will Zehle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Wyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdelaziz Mooss short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Will Zehle to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Luis Wyes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schkölen's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Wyes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Will Zehle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
