Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lucian Goldblum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Kitzmann in the 9th minute of the match. 1-0 became the score in the 11th minute when Felix Kitzmann elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Lucian Goldblum didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilfried Mademann went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Knut Münstermann succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. After 25th play minutes Felix Kitzmann shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Lucian Goldblum and just under the crossbar into goal. After 28 played minutes fc fenerbahce got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Pfeffermann. 32 minutes into the game, Wilfried Mademann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Lucian Goldblum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39thth minute of the game Felix Kitzmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but fc fenerbahce's Lucian Goldblum was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lucian Goldblum stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Kitzmann's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Wilfried Mademann might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucian Goldblum. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfried Mademann ran back to his position shaking his head. Torsten Schulte charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torsten Schulte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, one of fc fenerbahce:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for fc fenerbahce. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frederik Blassen made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Steffen Wiedmann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucian Goldblum showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lucian Goldblum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Kitzmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. hoffenheim's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Frederik Blassen 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 5-2. When Felix Kitzmann came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the hoffenheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Kitzmann couldn't finish the play. If Wilfried Mademann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Kitzmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Goldblum having to interfere. Knut Münstermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. If Frederik Blassen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Timo Hoppenstedt hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The hoffenheim fans cheered their team off the field, for while fc fenerbahce had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
