Spectators: 7492 (Terracing: 5620, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bernhard Hermbusch took the kick off in the first half of the match. Edgar Faber's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filippo Olowka read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute, L.E. GrünWeiß's Edgar Faber ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Filippo Olowka. Filippo Olowka yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 21st match minute, L.E. GrünWeiß was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Werner Rüggeberg to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by L.E. GrünWeiß's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Henning Achterberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Robur Zittau's players had a chance to rest. Henning Achterberg made a great header on Robur Zittau's corner, it was just that L.E. GrünWeiß's Ahmed Kuschminder managed to reach the ball for a save. Wilfried Ambrosius in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Filippo Olowka, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bernhard Hermbusch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgar Faber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilfried Ambrosius blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filippo Olowka having to make a save. When Edgar Faber came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the L.E. GrünWeiß fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Faber couldn't finish the play. Edgar Faber blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filippo Olowka having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Faber in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filippo Olowka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute, Harald Mappus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 48 played minutes, Robur Zittau's Henning Achterberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ahmed Kuschminder came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Robur Zittau reached it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Faber to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgar Faber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Filippo Olowka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfried Ambrosius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filippo Olowka having to interfere. Filippo Olowka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Faber in the 62nd minute of the match. Edgar Faber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. L.E. GrünWeiß's Wilfried Ambrosius got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilfried Ambrosius in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filippo Olowka saved Robur Zittau from getting behind. After 68 minutes, Wilfried Ambrosius made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Robur Zittau's Filippo Olowka tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dietbald Thanner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Kuschminder having to interfere. After 80 played minutes Bernhard Hermbusch rounded L.E. GrünWeiß's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Filippo Olowka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Faber in the 89th minute of play. In the 96th minute Edgar Faber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Olowka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the L.E. GrünWeiß players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
