With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filippo Olowka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filippo Olowka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heiko Hennicke's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After 59 minutes, Bernhard Hermbusch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Robur Zittau and the Borussia Mönchengladbach players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gerd Trumpf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 1-1 became the score in the 80th minute when Heiko Hennicke elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 83 played minutes Borussia Mönchengladbach got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Höfner. If Dietbald Thanner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerd Trumpf got free with Filippo Olowka in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robur Zittau's Filippo Olowka proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Robur Zittau from getting a goal against them. With his leg Filippo Olowka managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Borussia Mönchengladbach's Gerd Trumpf fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 95th minute Heiko Hennicke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Olowka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Heiko Hennicke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
