Spectators: 7300 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Addi Waschke started the match with the kick off. Birk Röber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Kaiser in the 3rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Addi Waschke in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Birk Röber saved Die Leude von Uschi from getting behind. Birk Röber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Addi Waschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Feddo Kuttner fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Die Leude von Uschi's protests and gave Feddo Kuttner a yellow card for diving instead. If Addi Waschke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Kaiser's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Birk Röber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Marlach got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Neuwinger. 20 minutes into the game, Hein Friedmann lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Knut Jeschke. In the 30th minute, Ehrhard Schlösser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the game, Hein Friedmann recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Knut Jeschke. Hein Friedmann showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After having played for 40 minutes, Addi Waschke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marlach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Addi Waschke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Addi Waschke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birk Röber having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hein Friedmann was the one to do the kick off. If Addi Waschke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Neuwinger charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommy Neuwinger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Addi Waschke in the 59th minute of play forced Die Leude von Uschi's goalkeeper Birk Röber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birk Röber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Kaiser in the 62nd minute. Victor Kaiser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birk Röber having to interfere. When Volker Jöckel fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Die Leude von Uschi's protests and gave Volker Jöckel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 66th minute of the match Erk Mütze sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Birk Röber skillfully saved the ball. Hein Friedmann struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Knut Jeschke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Die Leude von Uschi. 74 minutes into the match, Die Leude von Uschi's goal looked a bit too open when Addi Waschke came free, but Birk Röber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victor Kaiser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Feddo Kuttner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Knut Jeschke having to interfere. Birk Röber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Addi Waschke's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Victor Kaiser fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birk Röber having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Addi Waschke in the 90th minute of play forced Die Leude von Uschi's goalkeeper Birk Röber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Marlach's zone, Hein Friedmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Knut Jeschke came out of the goal and Hein Friedmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
