Raiko Bodenschmidt succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Wanja Thurow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Wanja Thurow took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Jörg Haueisen to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Pit Faller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raiko Bodenschmidt in the 54th minute of play forced Gandersum's goalkeeper Arend Blecke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom Reinoehl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zellprojekt's Tom Reinoehl got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arend Blecke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raiko Bodenschmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zellprojekt's Jörg Haueisen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanja Thurow in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Zellprojekt's goal looked a bit too open when Wanja Thurow came free, but Jörg Haueisen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolf Schönbucher's late challenge caught a Gandersum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolf Schönbucher helped the player get up and apologised. Jörg Haueisen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanja Thurow in the 79th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Wanja Thurow cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jörg Haueisen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michael Dieler scored 4-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jörg Haueisen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gandersum fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zellprojekt had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
