Gandersum's Arend Blecke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ole Kühn in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 played minutes Gandersum got a freekick which was hit by Pit Faller. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Dieler during the 25th minute.
