Spectators: 7369 (Terracing: 5620, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 149) Zellprojekt's Raiko Bodenschmidt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match Olaf Henning sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orson Ufer skillfully saved the ball. If Robert Heimeier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Stivologne FC defense, Tom Reinoehl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orson Ufer. The Stivologne FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orson Ufer should have stopped the shot. Stivologne FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Raiko Bodenschmidt scored to the left of an out of position Orson Ufer, making the score, 2-0. Allan Scherrer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jörg Haueisen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jörg Haueisen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Scherrer in the 25th minute of play. Jörg Haueisen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Kratz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Heimeier charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Heimeier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Stivologne FC got a freekick which was hit by Robert Heimeier. 32 minutes into the match, Stivologne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raiko Bodenschmidt came free, but Orson Ufer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Irmscher in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörg Haueisen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute, Sebastian Seggewiß got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Robert Heimeier was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 43 minutes had been played. In the 44th match minute, Stivologne FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Heimeier to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paul Kratz made the kick off in the second half. When Paul Kratz came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Stivologne FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Kratz couldn't finish the play. If Tom Reinoehl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes Stivologne FC got a freekick which was hit by Allan Scherrer. Orson Ufer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raiko Bodenschmidt in the 63rd minute of play. Raiko Bodenschmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orson Ufer having to interfere. Stivologne FC's Orson Ufer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Reinoehl in the 68th minute of play. Allan Scherrer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jörg Haueisen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. If Paul Kratz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute Raiko Bodenschmidt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orson Ufer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tom Reinoehl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stivologne FC's Paul Kratz got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 82 played minutes Zellprojekt got a freekick which was hit by Rolf Schönbucher. Jörg Haueisen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Irmscher, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Stivologne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raiko Bodenschmidt came free, but Orson Ufer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toni Irmscher hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Many of Stivologne FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Stivologne FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Zellprojekt were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
