If Pit Faller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Attenhausen FSV's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sven Kliemann was slow to take the kick. During this time Gandersum's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Gandersum's corner Sven Kliemann fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Achim Schönert quite easily take care of the ball. Arend Blecke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erich Jäkel's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute Erich Jäkel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arend Blecke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Hubert Vogel put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arend Blecke. Pit Faller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pit Faller came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Gandersum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pit Faller couldn't finish the play. After 29 played minutes Attenhausen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Reitz. Arend Blecke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erich Jäkel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the game, Uwe Brett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Attenhausen FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gandersum the free kick. Uwe Brett hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Gandersum's Arend Blecke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erich Jäkel in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, Gandersum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wanja Thurow to maneuver through the defense. Achim Schönert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanja Thurow in the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Wanja Thurow made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erich Jäkel during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Friedrich Boback got free with Arend Blecke in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute Erich Jäkel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arend Blecke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gandersum's Wanja Thurow in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Attenhausen FSV's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanja Thurow in the 65th minute of play forced Attenhausen FSV's goalkeeper Achim Schönert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Brossart during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Attenhausen FSV getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Sebastian Brossart hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Volker Fimmen in the 87th minute of play forced Attenhausen FSV's goalkeeper Achim Schönert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achim Schönert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pit Faller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Pit Faller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achim Schönert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 93 minutes of play, Gandersum's Pit Faller made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Achim Schönert was left in no man's land by his defense there! The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
