Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Thies Reck made the kick off which started today's match. Michael Schraier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thies Reck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Bad Schussenried's zone, Rudolf Roese stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rochus Hovermann came out of the goal and Rudolf Roese tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 1.FC Union Berlin's Eduard Siegert got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michael Schraier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thies Reck in the 11th minute of the match. When Bad Schussenried's Harald Deinbeck in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 1.FC Union Berlin's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to 1.FC Union Berlin getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Gerard Hunold hit a great ball. Michael Schraier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Deinbeck in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Bad Schussenried booed when 1.FC Union Berlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edzard Werling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reinhold Eichenauer kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Michael Schraier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thies Reck in the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Eduard Siegert managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1.FC Union Berlin's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Siegert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rochus Hovermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harald Deinbeck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Michael Schraier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudolf Roese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 31 minutes into the game, Wolf Szymczakowski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rochus Hovermann. Wolf Szymczakowski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Rochus Hovermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolf Szymczakowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Thies Reck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 minutes, Reinhold Eichenauer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1.FC Union Berlin and the Bad Schussenried players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reinhold Eichenauer kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rudolf Roese to strike the kick off in the second half. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michael Schraier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the match, 1.FC Union Berlin's goalkeeper Michael Schraier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harald Deinbeck. Michael Schraier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Watzek, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 68 minutes into the match, 1.FC Union Berlin's Eduard Siegert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rochus Hovermann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Werner Bäuerle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 1.FC Union Berlin's Rudolf Roese couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bad Schussenried. In the 85th minute, Eduard Siegert made a precise shot to the right of Rochus Hovermann. Bad Schussenried's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Werner Bäuerle kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 94th minute Raphael Watzek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Schraier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Wilken Flad fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bad Schussenried's protests and gave Wilken Flad a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bad Schussenried! In the 96th minute, Rudolf Roese ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rochus Hovermann was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When the referee blew the final whistle, 1.FC Union Berlin could leave the field as winners, despite Bad Schussenried having more of the ball for most of the match.
