FC Chelsea Cottbus's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Markus Heising scored to the left of an out of position Henning Schwalm, making the score, 1-0. If Eike Baumeister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max Franke's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Henning Schwalm skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 19 played minutes FC Chelsea Cottbus got a freekick which was hit by Eike Baumeister. Thorsten Schrape sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eike Baumeister in the 24th minute of play forced FC Niebieskie Dachy's goalkeeper Mathieu Gleißberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Max Franke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 30 minutes into the match, FC Niebieskie Dachy's goal looked a bit too open when Eike Baumeister came free, but Mathieu Gleißberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henning Schwalm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thorsten Schrape showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Thorsten Schrape made the kick off in the second half. FC Chelsea Cottbus's Henning Schwalm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Franke in the 53rd minute of play. FC Niebieskie Dachy's Markus Gerken got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 60 played minutes FC Chelsea Cottbus got a freekick which was hit by Ingo Morchner. Thorsten Schrape struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Henning Schwalm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Niebieskie Dachy. Thorsten Schrape fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Schwalm having to interfere. The supporters of FC Niebieskie Dachy booed when FC Chelsea Cottbus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfons Müselers short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Mathieu Gleißberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Max Franke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Alfons Müseler came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC Chelsea Cottbus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfons Müseler couldn't finish the play. Alfons Müseler took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mathieu Gleißberg. Mathieu Gleißberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After having played for 93 minutes, Alfons Müseler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Chelsea Cottbus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfons Müseler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 97 minutes, Eike Baumeister managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
