Steffen Kretz charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Steffen Kretz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Steffen Kretz kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Bahrenfeld FSV defense, Nikolaus Cayrol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Placido Heermann. The Bahrenfeld FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Placido Heermann should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Bahrenfeld FSV booed when FC Hawaii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulus Fechner didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Hawaii's Nikolaus Cayrol got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 17th minute, FC Hawaii's Paulus Fechner ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Placido Heermann. Placido Heermann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Werner Korff kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Placido Heermann. That made the score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match, Nikolaus Cayrol got a very nice opportunity to score, but Placido Heermann was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 30th minute of the match Petrus Räder shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Placido Heermann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 30 played minutes Bahrenfeld FSV got a freekick which was hit by Carl Eckardt. Petrus Räder took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Placido Heermann. Bahrenfeld FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nikolaus Cayrol came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Placido Heermann could save by the left post. Steffen Horsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bahrenfeld FSV's Atze Stiller got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Paulus Fechner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some careless play in the Bahrenfeld FSV defense, Werner Korff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Placido Heermann. The Bahrenfeld FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Placido Heermann should have stopped the shot. In the 56th minute, Bahrenfeld FSV's Florian Junker dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. 59 minutes into the match, FC Hawaii's goalkeeper Horst Dürr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steffen Horsch. Nikolaus Cayrol took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Placido Heermann. Placido Heermann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 69th minute, Ronald Sieger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Placido Heermann was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Placido Heermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Werner Korff in the 73rd minute of play. In the 78th minute, Werner Korff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st play minute Steffen Horsch came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Horst Dürr. 6-2. 88 minutes into the match, Bahrenfeld FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Paulus Fechner came free, but Placido Heermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Junker might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horst Dürr. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florian Junker ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hawaii's zone, Florian Junker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horst Dürr came out of the goal and Florian Junker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Hawaii were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bahrenfeld FSV for a fine match.
