Herrmann Kipp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achim Trenner, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Graumünz in the 12th minute of play forced Gamlen's goalkeeper Prospero Kurth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feridun Löber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Kurth having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Gamlen's goalkeeper Prospero Kurth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Feridun Löber. When Feridun Löber came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Carolinensiel FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feridun Löber couldn't finish the play. If Achim Trenner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gamlen's Prospero Kurth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Gamlen from getting a goal against them. Hubert Bulling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Prospero Kurth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prospero Kurth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Carolinensiel FSV players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
