Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Simon Achterbach made the kick off which started today's match. In the 12th match minute, FC Arsenal München was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernot Gerdung to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Hensel during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes Süderhof got a freekick which was hit by Mario Hensel. Stefan Moll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hansjürgen Nikoleit having to interfere. Peter Kappertz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Achterbach in the 28th minute of play. Peter Kappertz came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Süderhof's Simon Achterbach. But to his dismay, Simon Achterbach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Alois Kahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stefan Moll to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Süderhof's Alois Kahl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Kappertz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Simon Achterbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Kappertz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Stefan Moll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Clemens Rombach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Helmut Ebel fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Arsenal München's protests and gave Helmut Ebel a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of FC Arsenal München:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Süderhof:s goal. Alois Kahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Süderhof had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
