Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kostja Trumpf started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Gregor Schnelle fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vehrensande's protests and gave Gregor Schnelle a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Vehrensande got a freekick which was hit by Gregor Schnelle. A collision led to Burghof getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Josef Hanta hit a great ball. Vehrensande's Leif Julius shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 13th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gerald Heine but with some difficulty. Robert Kamper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lutz Budden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerald Heine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batho Havemann, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. If Batho Havemann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rutger Schmitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Burghof! Leif Julius walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Batho Havemann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerald Heine having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Rutger Schmitt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vehrensande's supporters rose to their feet, but Rutger Schmitt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerald Heine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Batho Havemann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gerald Heine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rutger Schmitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rutger Schmitt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gerald Heine firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gerald Heine came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Vehrensande's Rutger Schmitt. But to his dismay, Rutger Schmitt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Batho Havemann made the kick off in the second half. 63 minutes into the match, Batho Havemann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerald Heine. Burghof's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Batho Havemann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 67th minute, Rutger Schmitt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerald Heine was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Burghof's Josef Hanta got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Vehrensande's goal looked a bit too open when Kostja Trumpf came free, but Robert Kamper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Burghof's zone, Batho Havemann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerald Heine came out of the goal and Batho Havemann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the game, Albert Saßmannshausen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Burghof's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vehrensande the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Burghof was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Saßmannshausen to maneuver through the defense. Gerald Heine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batho Havemann in the 88th minute of play. Robert Kamper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kostja Trumpf in the 97th minute of play.
