Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jakob Richstein started the match with the kick off. If Torbjörn Joosten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 4th minute, Jakob Richstein ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vinzenz Thimm was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in 1 FC Argentinos's zone, Christoph Egger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredy Grobmaul came out of the goal and Christoph Egger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Barl's Ulrich Händel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fredy Grobmaul. That made the score 1-1 after 15 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jakob Richstein in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinzenz Thimm prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 minutes of play, 1 FC Argentinos's Jakob Richstein made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vinzenz Thimm was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute of the match, Christoph Egger got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fredy Grobmaul was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 27 minutes into the game, Philipp Rupalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1 FC Argentinos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barl the free kick. After a rather tough play, 1 FC Argentinos's Philipp Rupalla got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute of the match Klaus Leffek sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fredy Grobmaul skillfully saved the ball. In the 31st minute Ulrich Händel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredy Grobmaul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hjalmar Roese took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vinzenz Thimm. Barl's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of 1 FC Argentinos booed when Barl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ken Stenger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jakob Richstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, 1 FC Argentinos's Fredy Grobmaul got control of the ball when Christoph Egger tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Christoph Egger came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Barl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christoph Egger couldn't finish the play. A collision led to 1 FC Argentinos getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Herbert Hohensolms hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulrich Händel made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ronald Chakravorty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 61 minutes, Ulrich Händel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulrich Händel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Barl's Ken Stenger got a free kick in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, 1 FC Argentinos's Hjalmar Roese got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Barl's Christoph Egger in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 1 FC Argentinos's goalie prevented a goal. Fredy Grobmaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrich Händel in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulrich Händel in the 80th minute of play forced 1 FC Argentinos's goalkeeper Fredy Grobmaul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jakob Richstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in 1 FC Argentinos's zone, Christoph Egger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredy Grobmaul came out of the goal and Christoph Egger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 1 FC Argentinos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Attila Reifmann in the 89th minute. A nice corner shot did that Attila Reifmann got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vinzenz Thimm quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Barl getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Christoph Egger hit a great ball. The 1 FC Argentinos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 1 FC Argentinos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
