But to his dismay, Hippo Bucher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Björn Kunert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulrich Schlettert was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Ferdinand Raich succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 29th playminute. After a rather tough play, Maschhaupt FC's Walther Guzikowski got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in dock sud's zone, Hippo Bucher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulrich Schlettert came out of the goal and Hippo Bucher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guido Pawellek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maschhaupt FC's Fredo Verheyen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Maschhaupt FC from getting a goal against them. Mario Brockschmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The dock sud players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maschhaupt FC were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johannes Weiß to strike the kick off in the second half. Hippo Bucher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ulrich Schlettert made a huge save. Mario Brockschmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Mario Brockschmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulrich Schlettert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Pawellek in the 59th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Hippo Bucher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maschhaupt FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hippo Bucher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulrich Schlettert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Brockschmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulrich Schlettert having to interfere. Maschhaupt FC's Fredo Verheyen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Weiß in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Weiß in the 68th minute of play forced Maschhaupt FC's goalkeeper Fredo Verheyen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, dock sud's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Pawellek came free, but Ulrich Schlettert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maschhaupt FC's Hippo Bucher got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferdinand Raich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Hippo Bucher in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ulrich Schlettert, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 94th minute, Maschhaupt FC's Arne Bauernfeld seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Arne Bauernfeld the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Maschhaupt FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Arne Bauernfeld had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Maschhaupt FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of dock sud:s goal. Fredo Verheyen had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Maxim Diebold's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.
