Moritz Popper didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Levin Schlegel went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Unterheutau's zone, Boris Kampeter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Georg Hertz came out of the goal and Boris Kampeter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erhard Labigne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Karl-Georg Hertz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Boris Kampeter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Georg Hertz was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 54th minute, Boris Kampeter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SCBeare's Moritz Popper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julien Bilger in the 56th minute of play. Moritz Popper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Curtis Moldenhauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Unterheutau's Karl-Georg Hertz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Unterheutau from getting a goal against them. During the 68th minute of the match Curtis Moldenhauer completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Curtis Moldenhauer a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. David Scherer's late challenge caught a Unterheutau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
