After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Claas Fey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lautern FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claas Fey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markus Luft breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luka Strohmayer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Markus Luft tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Lautern FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunter Rogowski to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Helmut Finke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hamburger SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Helmut Finke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horst Dreher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 21 minutes of play, Lautern FC's Luka Strohmayer made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Markus Luft was left in no man's land by his defense there! Markus Luft showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claas Fey, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Luka Strohmayer might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Markus Luft. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luka Strohmayer ran back to his position shaking his head. Lautern FC's Luka Strohmayer got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claas Fey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kjetil Ewen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Markus Luft showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjetil Ewen in the 53rd minute of the match. Markus Luft showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Strohmayer, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Claas Fey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Lautern FC's Luka Strohmayer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Markus Luft. That made the score 0-3 after 59 minutes of play. Luka Strohmayer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Luft having to interfere. Helmut Finke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Horst Dreher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Helmut Finke struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Horst Dreher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hamburger SV. Luka Strohmayer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the game, Luka Strohmayer lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Markus Luft. Lautern FC's Philipp Rathje got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Philipp Rathje got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luka Strohmayer came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Lautern FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luka Strohmayer couldn't finish the play. Lautern FC played a much better game than Hamburger SV and deserved their victory. The Hamburger SV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
