Nikolaus Viehl kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 21st minute of the game, Jannis Berg landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Lothar Heim's late challenge caught a GALATASARAY 67's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lothar Heim helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25thth minute of the game Gero Partsch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALATASARAY 67's Geert Tippelt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geert Tippelt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gero Partsch in the 26th minute of the match. Oswald Austin hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Breiffel in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geert Tippelt saved GALATASARAY 67 from getting behind. In the 34thth minute of the game Stefan Breiffel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALATASARAY 67's Geert Tippelt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Stefan Breiffel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 40 minutes, Stefan Breiffel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bayern München's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Breiffel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geert Tippelt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lothar Heim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Götz Pengel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnold Bauer having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Bayern München's Arnold Bauer got control of the ball when Götz Pengel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Geert Tippelt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Breiffel in the 53rd minute of play. Geert Tippelt came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bayern München's Gero Partsch. But to his dismay, Gero Partsch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY 67's Oswald Austin got a free kick in the 68th minute. Geert Tippelt acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jo Bachmann. Gero Partsch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Nikolaus Viehl fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GALATASARAY 67's protests and gave Nikolaus Viehl a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY 67's Nikolaus Viehl got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Gero Partsch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Bayern München fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.
