Alvar Bohmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arend Jaura having to interfere. If Alvar Bohmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hermann Zwingel struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Arend Jaura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Union Berlin. In the 26th match minute, Union Berlin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Dittrich to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Union Berlin's goal looked a bit too open when Gideon Marchl came free, but Reik Peeger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermann Zwingel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arend Jaura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvar Bohmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvar Bohmann in the 60th minute of play forced Impekoven's goalkeeper Arend Jaura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Union Berlin's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Noldt came free, but Reik Peeger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulrich Pentrup kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Union Berlin's goalkeeper Reik Peeger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gideon Marchl. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Union Berlin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frank Schnoor was slow to take the kick. During this time Impekoven's players had a chance to rest. Frank Schnoor made a great header on Impekoven's corner, it was just that Union Berlin's Reik Peeger managed to reach the ball for a save. Oliver Noldt took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reik Peeger. Reik Peeger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Gideon Marchl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
