Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tomsi's Rupert Nimako started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Tomsi getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Wewers couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Wewers in the 6th minute of play forced Tomsi's goalkeeper Volker Räder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viktor Beimler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tillmann Haug didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rupert Nimako went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Tomsi's Volker Räder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Tomsi from getting a goal against them. After 25 minutes, Nico Ostwald mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kella and the Tomsi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Tomsi a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gunnar Thumerer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Kella's Tillmann Haug. 0-2. In the 29th minute, Alfred Wewers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tillmann Haug made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Nimako in the 35th minute of play. Klement Höfner's late challenge caught a Kella's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Volker Räder was a little too slow when Alfred Wewers got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-2. Viktor Beimler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Tillmann Haug tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfred Wewers made a kick off. Volker Räder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Holger Behrendt, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Viktor Beimler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tillmann Haug having to interfere. Viktor Beimler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Tillmann Haug when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Volker Räder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Wewers in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Rupert Nimako managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tomsi's supporters rose to their feet, but Rupert Nimako was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tillmann Haug breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomsi's Volker Räder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Holger Behrendt in the 77th minute of play.
