The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Krapphof FC's Murat Elbert got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 7th minute, Elis Klobke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Max Ruhmland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Homolka's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ralph Redepenning got free with Ole Fassbinder in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the game, Ralph Redepenning recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ole Fassbinder. Ralph Redepenning showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Max Ruhmland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Harzer, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Krapphof FC's Max Ruhmland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Homolka in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ralph Redepenning got free with Ole Fassbinder in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Ralph Redepenning could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Ole Fassbinder however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, 1.FC Vorwärts's Ole Fassbinder got control of the ball when Reinhard Ruck tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Dürr during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Erik Dürr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, 1.FC Vorwärts's goalkeeper Ole Fassbinder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ralph Redepenning. Krapphof FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Georgi Langanki in the 54th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Jorck Kessler to score against Ole Fassbinder in 1.FC Vorwärts's goal. 2-0 after 54 minutes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Axel Hohn during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Axel Hohn hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Tim Hauke struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ole Fassbinder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Krapphof FC. In the 67th minute Ralph Redepenning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole Fassbinder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Tim Hauke notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of 1.FC Vorwärts's Ole Fassbinder. Ole Fassbinder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Arno Zerr fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1.FC Vorwärts's protests and gave Arno Zerr a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to 1.FC Vorwärts getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Arno Zerr hit a great ball. Ole Fassbinder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Redepenning, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute Ralph Redepenning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole Fassbinder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ralph Redepenning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andreas Homolka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Krapphof FC had won after a very even match.
