With an extended leg and a bit of luck Volker Räder prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Tomsi's Klement Höfner got a free kick in the 6th minute. Tomsi's Volker Räder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermann Zwingel in the 8th minute of play. Volker Räder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermann Zwingel in the 12th minute of play. Andy Dittrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volker Räder having to interfere. Viktor Beimler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reik Peeger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Beimler in the 31st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Union Berlin's Alessio Amberger got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Tomsi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Alvar Bohmann scored to the left of an out of position Volker Räder, making the score, 1-1. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tomsi's goalkeeper Volker Räder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute Viktor Beimler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reik Peeger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viktor Beimler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Reik Peeger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Andy Dittrich kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Alvar Bohmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Union Berlin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Ariel Renger fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Union Berlin's protests and gave Ariel Renger a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tomsi booed when Union Berlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Renger didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Union Berlin's Reik Peeger got control of the ball when Viktor Beimler tried to sneak it across the goal line.
